Project Overview

The Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) engaged Bryant Media Group to create a video marketing campaign to promote the destination across our own and also third party social media publications. Mauritius is one of the world’s leading luxury beach destinations and the MPTA wanted us to show the variety of different activities which are available on the island, using our video know-how and experience. While filming, MTPA hosted us at JW Marriott Resort who were so impressed with our initial footage, that they also engaged us separately to produce a cinematic resort video for their website.  

Our Solution

Video Production - We planned, filmed and produced a long-form Destination Brand video, and a ‘Hero’ video for social media showing the ‘Top things to do in Mauritius’, in a  ‘user-generated’ style, to avoid an overly-scripted TV commercial feel.  This video was then broken down into a full media suite of primarily shorter video assets, cut and sized in different aspect ratios, perfect for distribution across various social media platforms and the web. 

Social Media Amplification - Was provided via our two travel-focussed brands @followoutsider and @benjamin_bryant_ across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. This Included micro-content, stories, Live broadcasts and compilations. Through our industry relationships, we also arranged for the ‘Hero Video’ to be published on UNILAD Adventure’s Facebook page, the world’s largest travel page on Facebook pages.

Core Assets & Deliverables

The MTPA received a 3 min Hero video, 4 Live broadcasts, 35 short video clips and 66 stories. All of this content was published on a mixture of accounts and platforms, as Videos, Carousels, Reels, Shorts, etc…

The JW Marriott Mauritius Resort received a 2 min 4K cinematic resort video for use on their website, social media and for marketing. This video was re-edited into different aspect ratios to suit every potential distribution channel in the future. These included: Cinemascope 2.35:1, 16:9, 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16. We always do this for our clients as we believe that optimising and re-cutting the content for different devices is critical to it’s success

Results and Statistics

Our campaign was a huge success, gaining over 1 Million views and 30k likes across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. The content proved to be highly engaging and sparked an incredible 3.8k comments from viewers,, many of who asked for more details about the destination and said they wanted to visit.

This shows that our content has inspired more people to visit Mauritius. We over-delivered on the expected number of posts, providing 43 more posts than expected by our client, representing fantastic added value. 

The total market value of video production and social media exposure is around £40,000. However we would typically charge anywhere between £15,000 - 25,000 for a project like this, depending on its complexity.
