Project Overview

The national tourism board of Tenerife, Turismo De Tenerife, requested our help to implement their tourism strategy and promote the island’s varied experiences and unique selling points, especially its culture and natural beauty. The overall project goals were to publicise the destination and increase general knowledge of the island, via videos on social media, which focussed especially around activities and excursions.

Our Solution

Video Production - We designed and produced a suite of high-quality video assets which showed Tenerife from a different perspectives.  The videos visualised the many different activities which are available for tourists to enjoy while visiting Tenerife. These included: Whale watching, Mt Teide excursion, historic villages of Masca and Garachico, Luxury hotels such as the Ritz Carlton and Royal Hideaway, the Tenerife Carnival, Siam Park waterpark & the Michelin star Gastronomy.  

Social Media Amplification - Was provided via our two travel-focussed brands @followoutsider and @benjamin_bryant_ across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Content Deliverables

  • 1x Compilation highlights ‘hero’ video, 3 mins with text captions, showing genera travel in Tenerife

  • 5x Single shot ‘viral-style‘ videos, 5-20 secs optimised for social media and smart phone viewing

  • 3x Daily video stories for Instagram & Facebook

  • License for the Tenerife Tourist Board to use the above content on their social media accounts and website

  • 1x Facebook post of the ‘hero’ video on the main Facebook feed of Follow Outsider (3m followers)

  • 3x Facebook posts of single shot ‘viral-style’ videos on Outsider’s Facebook feed (3m followers)

  • 3x Daily stories on Outsider’s Facebook & Instagram accounts (3m and 659k followers)

Results and Statistics

Our video assets and social media coverage of Tenerife increased awareness across social media and educated tourists on the the activities which are available to enjoy on this sunny island, which has a great year-round climate.

The results were phenomenal, with our videos gaining over 1 Million views and 14k likes across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Our video assets and expertly written copy, proved to be highly engaging and achieved a Reach of 897k, and many comments asking for more information about travelling to this exciting destination.

The total market value of video production and social media exposure is around £30,000. However we would typically charge anywhere between £15,000 - 20,000 for a project like this, depending on its complexity. We provided a great ROI for the client and overdelivered on the amount of content and also the KPIs which were set at the start of the project. Anther happy client for Bryant Media Group.
